From For Love of the Double Bass, a 30-minute theater piece for bass, piano, and tape playback, Touch Music explores many of the delicate, quiet sounds available from “touching” the instrument in various ways.  In the larger work, it comes right before the bassist puts the bass to bed for the evening.  The pianist concurs: all is calm, intimate, a dream.
